Jammu Tawi, June 30 -- Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday caught two revenue officials red-handed, while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 70,000 here, an official said.
Patwari Shashi Kumar and his assistant, Harkeerat Singh, were trapped following a written complaint by a resident alleging that the officials had demanded an illegal gratification for issuing two 'fards' (revenue extracts), a spokesperson of the ACB said.
He said the ACB conducted a discreet verification of the complaint, which established a prima facie case of bribery.
