Nigeria, Aug. 27 -- The Nasarawa State Hospitals Management Board has set up a committee to investigate the alleged disappearance of medical equipment at Umaisha General Hospital in the Toto Local Government Area.

The equipment, reportedly donated by Mr Ibrahim Sa'ad, representing Ugya/Umaisha State Constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, allegedly included orthopedic mattresses and fans.

The board's Chief Medical Director, Dr Egba Edego, disclosed this while speaking with journalists in Lafia on Thursday.

Edego said the board launched the investigation after watching a video in which the lawmaker alleged that the donated items had been stolen.
