Nigeria, Sept. 28 -- President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Nigerian filmmakers Damilola Osikoya of Switch Visual Production and Nora Awolowo of Rixel Studios for setting a Guinness World Record for the largest attendance at a film screening.

The record was achieved during the screening of Black Market in Lagos on September 26, 2026.

In a statement issued on Monday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga and made available to The News Chronicle, Tinubu praised the filmmakers for their creativity, enterprise and ambition, describing the feat as another demonstration of the exceptional talent driving Nigeria's creative industry.
