Nigeria, June 25 -- Moore said he was encouraged by the Senate's approval of legislation seeking to create state-level police forces, noting that he had advocated for the reform both publicly and privately since he began investigating the killings of Christians in Nigeria.

According to the U.S. lawmaker, empowering states to secure their own territories would reduce overreliance on decision-makers in Abuja and strengthen efforts to combat violence and protect citizens.
