Nigeria, April 6 -- Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume (Borno South) has condemned the recent attacks by Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists on communities in his senatorial district, including last Saturday's assaults on Ashigashiya village in Gwoza Local Government Area and Kopul village in Askira-Uba Local Government Area.
The attacks resulted in the death of a physically-challenged resident in Ashigashiya after terrorists reportedly set his home on fire.
Several residential houses were also burned, with food supplies and livestock looted. In Kopul village, no casualties were reported, but homes and shops were destroyed, forcing many residents to flee into nearby bush areas for safety.
