Nigeria, April 1 -- Speaking at a press conference in Abuja, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, expressed deep concern over the incident and extended condolences to the families of the victims and the residents of the state. He said the Federal Government, on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, sympathized with those affected.

According to Idris, security agencies responded swiftly after distress calls, with troops under Operation Enduring Peace deployed to the area.
