Nigeria, March 10 -- Lawal was arrested in Ikare-Akoko, located in Akoko North-East Local Government Area, following months of intelligence-driven operations by security agents.

The spokesperson for the command, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, disclosed the development in a statement issued on Tuesday in Akure, noting that the suspect was believed to be the leader of a kidnapping syndicate operating within the axis.

According to him, the breakthrough came after persistent intelligence gathering and carefully coordinated security operations.
