Nigeria, June 27 -- Police have launched a full-scale investigation into the killing of the Benue State Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Alhaji Risku Mohammed, and another man, Yakubu Isa, who were ambushed and murdered by suspected assailants in Otukpo.

The Benue State Commissioner of Police, Cletus Nwadiogbu, disclosed this in a statement issued on Saturday in Makurdi by the command's spokesperson, DSP Udeme Edet.

According to the police, the victims were attacked along the Okwudu-Ogoli Road while returning from a security meeting.
