Nigeria, Sept. 26 -- A young Nigerian from Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area of Kebbi State, Abdullahi Abubakar, has seen his ambition of becoming a commercial pilot put on hold after financial difficulties disrupted his aviation training. Abubakar gained admission to the International Aviation College (IAC), Ilorin, in 2018, where he began training to become a pilot. According to his account, the Kebbi State Government initially supported his training with about N2 million. The sponsorship enabled him to complete a year of training and obtain his Private Pilot Licence (PPL).
