Nigeria, Aug. 25 -- Bandits have reportedly killed the District Head of Gallah, Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf, a traditional ruler under the Borgu Emirate in Niger State, after he allegedly warned the gunmen to stay away from his community.

The monarch, also known as the Magajin Garin Gallah of Agwara Local Government Area, was reportedly attacked at his palace over the weekend.

According to reports obtained by The News Chronicle on Tuesday, the bandits targeted the traditional ruler after he allegedly warned against their infiltration of the community.

The attack was first disclosed by security analyst Bakatsine in a post on X.
