Nigeria, March 31 -- Sources within the legislature disclosed that the Appropriation Committees of both the Senate and the House of Representatives are preparing to present their reports once proceedings begin.

The development comes as funding for the extended implementation of the 2024 and 2025 budgets particularly rolled-over capital projects approaches termination.

According to insiders, the report on the 2026 budget may be presented on Monday, with both chambers expected to consider and pass the bill either the same day or by Tuesday.

Lawmakers are also keen to complete work on the budget before proceeding on their Easter break later in the week.
