Nigeria, Sept. 17 -- The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has commended Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo for improving funding and infrastructure for medical residency training in the state.

NARD National President, Dr Mohammad Suleiman, gave the commendation on Thursday in Awka when he led members of the association on a courtesy visit to the Anambra Commissioner for Health, Dr Afam Obidike.

Suleiman also praised Soludo for being, according to him, the first governor to implement the revised salary structure for resident doctors in 2025.

"He is also paying a very substantial Medical Residency Training Fund.
