Kogi Police Vow Crackdown on Crime Networks
Nigeria, May 20 -- Commissioner of Police, Naziru Bello Kankarofi, gave the assurance on Tuesday while briefing journalists in Lokoja after the arrest of a 52-year-old suspect allegedly found with 339 wraps of substances believed to be cannabis.
According to the police chief, the suspect was apprehended during a stop-and-search exercise conducted in Kabba, located in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area.
Kankarofi disclosed that the operation took place on May 9 at about 2:00 p.m. as part of intelligence-driven policing efforts and proactive strategies to combat crime.
