Nigeria, Sept. 26 -- Nigerian Afrobeats singer Kizz Daniel, real name Oluwatobiloba Anidugbe, has revealed that his months-long absence from music this year was caused by the death of his mother, not preparations for a new album as many fans believed.

The singer made the disclosure on Friday, September 25, 2026, while replying to a fan on X. The fan, using the handle @VicroyDominion1, had written, "I guess album really made you busy you had to pause for a while."
