Nigeria, Aug. 26 -- The Kaduna State Government has launched its 2026/2027 school enrolment campaign as part of efforts to reduce the number of out-of-school children and expand access to basic education across the state.

The campaign, organised by the Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board (KADSUBEB), began on Wednesday with a sensitisation walk in Kaduna.

During the exercise, government officials engaged parents, guardians and community members, urging them to enrol all school-age children.

The Permanent Secretary of the Kaduna State Ministry of Information and Culture, Iliya Duniya, described the campaign as a "war against illiteracy" aimed at reaching out-of-school children across the state.
