Nigeria, March 31 -- The delivery took place on Sunday at the Potiskum Specialist Hospital, where both mother and child are reported to be in good condition.

Earlier reports revealed that Assistant Superintendent Sani Saleh-Bodejo allegedly sexually assaulted and impregnated the inmate, with claims that some female colleagues supported the misconduct. He was also accused of assaulting another inmate identified as Salma.

Following the allegations, the Nigerian Correctional Service suspended Saleh-Bodejo and other officers involved for "unprofessional conduct with inmates." The suspension was approved by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, after a preliminary investigation.
