Nigeria, Sept. 2 -- The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has declared that President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress will secure victory in both Rivers State and the Federal Capital Territory ahead of the 2027 election.

Wike made the declaration on Wednesday during a media chat monitored by The News Chronicle, where he also asserted his control over the political structures in Rivers and the FCT.

The former Rivers State governor described himself as the "general commander" of the political structure in Rivers, insisting that Tinubu's victory in the two territories would not depend on having a sitting governor on his side.
