Nigeria, July 14 -- In an interview on Channels Television monitored by The News Chronicle, Adeyemi denied going into hiding, insisting he was only staying away for fear of being killed.

"I'm ready to show my face. I'm not hiding. I'm only fearing for my life because I have it on good authority that my life is in danger. There have been several attempts on my life," he said.

He further alleged that multiple attempts had been made on his life but did not reveal who was allegedly behind the threats.

Adeyemi's comments come amid the growing controversy surrounding the purported PFIPC, which the Presidency has repeatedly dismissed as a fictitious government agency.
