Nigeria, Aug. 4 -- The incident was disclosed by the member representing Musawa/Matazu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Abdullahi Aliyu, popularly known as "General," who claimed the suspect received the money to source weapons for the criminal gang but absconded without delivering the arms.

According to the lawmaker, the development has heightened tension among bandit groups operating in parts of Katsina State, as the alleged fraud has disrupted the gang's plans to acquire additional weapons.
