Nigeria, Nov. 22 -- A fatal accident early Saturday morning claimed the lives of five people on the Lapai-Suleja Road, while 34 others are being treated at the Lapai General Hospital. The crash happened around 4:30 a.m. and involved passengers traveling from Kano and Maiduguri to Lagos. According to a survivor, the accident occurred when a container truck suddenly swerved into their lane. Their driver tried to avoid hitting the truck but lost control of the vehicle, causing the crash. The truck driver fled the scene.
