Nigeria, July 18 -- Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved a new minimum monthly pension of N50,000 for retired civil servants in the state, declaring that no pensioner will earn below the new threshold from next month. The governor made the announcement during a live programme on the Adamawa Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) in Yola, where he said the decision was aimed at improving the welfare of retirees who had dedicated years of service to the state.
