FG Suspends New Digital Regulations, Moves to Harmonise Policies Across Agencies
Nigeria, July 7 -- Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday following a high-level meeting with the leadership of three agencies under the ministry-the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
According to Tijani, Nigeria's rapidly expanding digital ecosystem has created overlaps in the responsibilities of sector regulators, necessitating greater policy coordination.
