FG Declares Zero Ebola Cases, Unveils Strategy to Lead Africa's Disease Response
Nigeria, June 19 -- Speaking at the inauguration of the Presidential Task Force on Ebola Virus Disease Preparedness at the State House on Thursday, Chief of Staff to the President and Chairman of the Task Force, Femi Gbajabiamila, disclosed that Nigeria currently has no recorded Ebola cases but is taking proactive steps to ensure the disease does not gain a foothold.
Gbajabiamila said the government's strategy is firmly anchored on prevention, stressing that lessons from the 2014 Ebola outbreak have shaped stronger surveillance, border monitoring, and emergency response systems.
