Musk gave no details on how the shares would reach children or whether every child would qualify. The US Census Bureau counts about 73 million people under 18. At the Friday closing price of about $146, the gift is estimated at roughly $10.7 billion. SpaceX began trading in June after the largest initial public offering in history. Its value currently sits at around $2 trillion.
