Nigeria, Oct. 26 -- Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has expressed condolences to the Okonjo family of Ogwashi-Uku in Aniocha South Local Government Area following the death of Prof. Kamene Okonjo, mother of World Trade Organisation (WTO) Director-General, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.

Prof. Okonjo reportedly died on October 23, 2026, at the age of 96. She was the wife of the late Prof. Chukwuka Okonjo and a respected academic whose influence extended beyond the university environment.
