Defence Minister Musa Dismisses Resignation Rumours
Nigeria, July 21 -- Nigeria's Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has dismissed reports claiming he plans to resign from office amid the country's security challenges, describing the rumours as false and misleading.
In a statement issued on Monday by his spokesperson, Leah Katung-Babatunde, the minister said the reports alleging he had expressed an intention to step aside were fabricated and intended to mislead the public.
According to the statement obtained by The News Chronicle, General Musa remains fully committed to his responsibilities and focused on implementing the nation's defence strategy to address insecurity.
