Nigeria, Sept. 15 -- Nigerian singer Davido has won Album of the Year at the 2026 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) for his fifth studio album, "5IVE." AFRIMMA confirmed the result on its official Instagram page on Tuesday, September 15.

The ceremony took place on September 12 at Annette Strauss Square in Dallas. This year's event marked AFRIMMA's return after a two-year break. Organizers paired the awards with the first AFRIMMA music festival, which included performances, dance showcases, food vendors, and fashion displays.
