Nigeria, Oct. 28 -- Nigerian singer Davido and online personality Peller have publicly cheered Spain and Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal after he finished third in the 2026 Ballon d'Or voting.

Yamal, 19, lost the award at a ceremony in London on Monday, October 26, 2026. Harry Kane won the prize, and Kylian Mbappe placed second. Yamal also won the Kopa Trophy for the best young player for the third year in a row.
