Nigeria, Oct. 8 -- A controversy has erupted in Awka, Anambra State, following a confrontation between court bailiffs carrying out an enforcement exercise and police operatives attached to the 'B' Division of the Anambra State Police Command.

A trending video on Wednesday showed the bailiffs being assaulted and harassed by police officers while executing a Warrant of Possession issued by the Chief Magistrates' Court in Awka.

It was gathered that the bailiffs, led by Franklyn Ifeanyi Onwuasoanya, were executing the warrant when a man who identified himself as the Divisional Police Officer of 'B' Division arrived at the premises and ordered them to stop the exercise and leave.
