Nigeria, April 23 -- The request, contained in a letter to Senate President Godswill Akpabio and read during Thursday's plenary, seeks approval to secure financing from Deutsche Bank for the ambitious 1,000-kilometer Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway.
Tinubu said the proposed highway is central to his administration's legacy infrastructure drive, designed to boost connectivity, unlock rural economies, and accelerate trade across regions.
He urged lawmakers to fast-track approval to keep the project on schedule.
Akpabio subsequently referred the request to the Senate Committee on Local and Foreign Debts, directing it to report back within one week.
