Nigeria, July 29 -- A two-day meeting of Northern leaders in President Bola Tinubu's administration has begun in Kaduna, aimed at addressing recent criticisms by Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement.
Kwankwaso had accused the Tinubu-led government of neglecting the North in terms of development projects.
In response, all ministers and top officials from the North serving in Tinubu's government are attending the meeting to highlight the progress and initiatives being carried out in the region.
The purpose of the gathering is to refute Kwankwaso's claims and reassure Northerners that President Tinubu remains committed to the development of the North.
