Nigeria, Feb. 13 -- Governorship and State House of Assembly elections will follow two weeks later, on March 6, 2027, according to the schedule announced Friday in Abuja.
INEC Chairman, Joash Amupitan, disclosed that the commission has already issued the statutory notice of election, formally kick-starting the electoral process.
The commission confirmed it finalized the timetable despite delays in the amendment of the Electoral Act by the National Assembly, noting that aspects of the schedule may be adjusted once the legislative process is concluded.
