Nigeria, Oct. 6 -- The Anambra State Police Command has ordered the issuance of queries to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of 3-3 Police Station and a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) over allegations surrounding the whereabouts of an armed robbery suspect reportedly arrested and brought to the station.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, also directed the immediate commencement of disciplinary proceedings against an Inspector of Police in connection with the matter.

The directives followed the Commissioner's personal interview with the complainant and officers involved on October 5, 2026, after a viral video alleged that the arrested suspect could not be accounted for at the station.
