Nigeria, Aug. 11 -- The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, and the party's vice-presidential candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, have met with the party's governorship candidates from Bauchi, Sokoto and Borno states as part of efforts to strengthen preparations for the forthcoming elections.

The meeting was held at Kwankwaso's residence in Maitama, Abuja, according to a statement posted on the NDC's X handle on Tuesday.

Those present at the meeting included the party's governorship candidates in Bauchi, Ibrahim Muhammad Kashim; Sokoto, Shamsu Aliyu; and Borno, Admiral Sunusi Sir Kashim Ibrahim (rtd.).
