Dhaka, Oct. 13 -- Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has left Dhaka for Italy to attend a global meeting of the World Food Program (WFP).

He departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Sunday at 11:30 am on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight bound for Rome.

According to the official itinerary, Professor Yunus will also hold several high-level bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the WFP event.

He is scheduled to meet Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and heads of various international organizations.

The discussions will cover global issues including food security, poverty alleviation, and sustainable development.
