Dhaka, Aug. 12 -- Malaysia accorded a warm welcome to Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus on Monday as he arrived in Kuala Lumpur for a three-day state visit.

Professor Yunus landed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 7:50pm local time on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Dhaka. He was received by Malaysian Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.

On Tuesday morning, the Chief Adviser will be formally welcomed at the Putrajaya Complex by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, in a ceremony that will include the playing of the national anthems and an inspection of the guard of honour.
