Dhaka, Oct. 12 -- A woman named Ayesha Begum (60) died after being hit by an opponent's stick over a trivial incident in Ishwardi. The incident took place at around 10:30 pm on Friday in Khaderdair village of Salimpur union of the upazila.
The deceased Ayesha Begum is the wife of the deceased Atar Ali of Khaderdair village. Local sources said that two days ago, Salam Hossain, son of the deceased Ayesha Begum, accused his neighbor Majid Ali of being a cow thief.
On Friday night, he got into an argument with Salam and Pintu again. At one stage of the argument, when a fight broke out between them, Ayesha Begum came forward to save her son Salam.
