Bangladesh, July 16 -- Students who were unable to sit the ongoing Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations due to heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions will be given another opportunity to take the tests, Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon announced on Tuesday.
"As the HSC examination is a crucial milestone in a student's life, the government has decided to provide this opportunity on special consideration," the minister told parliament while delivering a statement under Rule 300.
He said a total of 1,270,583 students are taking part in this year's HSC and equivalent examinations at 2,697 examination centres across the country.
