Bangladesh, Sept. 17 -- Two people were killed and two others injured in a collision involving a CNG-run auto-rickshaw, a private car and a pickup on the Chandpur-Cumilla regional highway in Chandpur Sadar upazila on Tuesday.
The deceased were Mohor Ali, 60, son of late Omar Ali of Fatehpur village in Kachua upazila, and auto-rickshaw driver Kabir Mal, 40. All the victims were occupants of the auto-rickshaw, police said.
According to locals, the auto-rickshaw was carrying passengers from Chandpur towards Hajiganj when a private car travelling ahead braked abruptly in the Mahamaya area in front of Mandari Kamal Miji Bari in the afternoon.
