Bangladesh, April 22 -- The Adviser to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Zahed Ur Rahman, has said that transport fares will be determined on a rational basis following the recent increase in fuel prices.

He made the remarks on Tuesday (April 21) at a press conference held at the conference room of the Department of Information at the Secretariat.

The adviser acknowledged that a crisis has emerged regarding transport fares. He said that discussions are underway to adjust fares in line with the increased fuel prices, and the government hopes to reach a reasonable decision.
