Dhaka, Dec. 28 -- The 63rd sugarcane threshing season has begun with the dumping of sugarcane into the Joypurhat sugar mill's boats.
The country's largest sugar producing company has started the 2025-26 sugarcane threshing season with the burden of last year's loss of Tk 58 crore.
Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Industries Maksura Noor inaugurated the sugarcane threshing and sugar production activities on Friday afternoon.
