Dhaka, Nov. 3 -- Shakhir Hossain Shuvro hit 89 as Rajshahi Division took control over Khulna on Day 2 of their second round match in the National Cricket League (NCL) at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Resuming the day at 87-3, Rajshahi put up 268 before being all out and took 147 runs first innings lead.

Khulna reached 68-1 before the bad light brought a premature end to the day, still trailing by 79 runs.

Anamul Haque Bijoy was batting on 27 with Amit Mojumdar on 15 when the bails were drawn. Soumya Sarkar was the only batter out with 10 for Khulna.

Shakhir earlier led Rajshahi to achieve a big lead after Khulna made regular inroads to leave them at 124-5.
