Dhaka, Nov. 16 -- Bangladesh Police have started distributing their newly designed iron-grey uniforms, beginning with a limited group of personnel.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Deputy Commissioner (Media) Talebur Rahman said the distribution process commenced on Saturday and will continue in several stages.

Members of metropolitan police units are receiving the first consignments, though in restricted quantities.

The updated iron-grey attire will gradually replace the existing blue and green uniforms across both range and metropolitan forces.

Mohammadpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Kazi Rafique Ahmed said they had yet to receive the new outfits but expect to do so shortly.
