Bangladesh, Aug. 16 -- Pakshi Railway District Police have seized illegal drugs worth Tk 37,447,800 in various drives over the past year and arrested 89 people in connection with the seizures.
Police Super Mehedi Hasan disclosed the information at a meeting with journalists held in the conference room of the Pakshi District Police Control Room in Ishwardi, Pabna, at noon on Saturday. Officials from different levels of the railway district police were present at the meeting.
According to police, the seized drugs included 41 kilograms of cannabis, 4 kilograms and 600 grams of heroin, 528 yaba tablets, 1,126 ampoules of narcotic injections, 402 Tapentadol tablets, 640 bottles of codeine-based Eskaf syrup, 150 bottles of Phensidyl, 13 bottles...
