Dhaka, Aug. 17 -- Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with Bangladesh High Commissioner to Pakistan Md. Iqbal Hossain Khan on Friday, stressing the need to further strengthen political, economic, and people-to-people relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, High Commissioner Khan briefed the Prime Minister on ongoing initiatives aimed at deepening the friendship between Dhaka and Islamabad. He expressed optimism about enhancing the historic bonds between the two nations.

Prime Minister Sharif reaffirmed his government's full support for the High Commissioner, wished him success in his diplomatic mission, and voiced confidence in the positive development of bilateral ties.
