Dhaka, Dec. 21 -- Sharif Osman Hadi, one of the faces of the 24th student uprising and a potential candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency, was laid to eternal rest beside the grave of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam near the Dhaka University Central Mosque on Saturday afternoon.
He died Thursday while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Singapore after battling for life for seven days.
On December 12 (Friday) Hadi was critically injured in a shooting by terrorists in the city's Box Culvert Road in Purana Paltan, just a day after the announcement of the schedule for the 13th National elections.
He was immediately rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment and later to Evercare Hospital.
