A Youngman was killed, and at least 40 others were injured in a clash between two rival groups reportedly over a cow theft attempt in Kishoreganj's Itnahaor upazila on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Ruman Miah (22), son of Md. Jalaluddin in Gazaria village of Itna upazila. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Itna Police Station, Md Zafar Iqbal confirmed the incident.
The clash erupted around 1.30 pm and lasted till 5.30 at Gazaria village under Mriga union.
Locals, and Police sources, there had been a long-standing land dispute between Jasim Uddin and Karim Miah.
