Dhaka, Nov. 5 -- Police obstructed a long march organised by non-MPO (Monthly Pay Order) teachers toward the Chief Adviser's Office in Jamuna, prompting the protesters to block the road in front of the National Press Club once again on Tuesday afternoon (4 November).

Around 4 pm, hundreds of teachers gathered and occupied the street, chanting slogans demanding MPO inclusion and financial recognition from the government.

Traffic in the area came to a standstill for nearly an hour, causing severe congestion in nearby roads and intersections.

A six-member delegation from the Non-MPO Teachers' Unity Alliance was later sent to the Chief Adviser's Office to hold discussions with officials on behalf of the demonstrators.
