Dhaka, Aug. 28 -- The Bangladesh Army has not received any directive from the government to be engaged in the upcoming central student union elections in different universities and there is no scope for such involvement in future either, according to Inter Services Public Relation Directorate (ISPR).

Recently, reports were seen in various media and social media platforms on the possible deployment of the Bangladesh Army during the elections that drew the attention of the Army, it said in a press release.
