Dhaka, Aug. 9 -- Imran Haider, the newly appointed High Commissioner of Pakistan to Bangladesh, arrived in Dhaka on Friday morning, according to a statement issued by the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with Pakistan's Deputy High Commissioner and other officials of the High Commission, welcomed Imran Haider upon his arrival in Dhaka.

On May 11, former High Commissioner Syed Maroof suddenly left Dhaka. On the same day, the Pakistan High Commission informed Bangladesh's Ministry of Foreign Affairs about Maroof's departure.
